Ümit Çağlar is a furniture and product designer working with a strong focus on material, craftsmanship and form. His work explores the relationship between objects and space, aiming for clarity, tactile quality and long-lasting relevance.
With a background in interior architecture, he approaches furniture from a spatial perspective, allowing his practice to move naturally across furniture, lighting and selected interior projects. His design language is restrained and material-driven, shaped by organic forms and natural materials.
Raised in a family of carpenters, Ümit developed an early understanding of making and construction. This foundation continues to inform his work, which combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary production methods.
He has collaborated with international brands including Bolia, Wewood and Krafta. His studio focuses on furniture and product design, developed in close dialogue with manufacturers and craftspeople.
